Disrupt, Dissent and Create: How We Tell Our Story…….

Shaista Aziz is a journalist and writer specialising on race, identity and gender.

She is the founder of the anti racism digital platform The Everyday Bigotry Project- which seeks to disrupt narratives around bigotry and challenge what it means to show real and open solidarity with marginalised people.

Shaista is an anti racism and women’s rights campaigner and is the co founder of The Women’s Advancement Hub, Pakistan.

She is a former aid worker and has worked and travelled extensively across the Middle East, east and west Africa.

Shaista is also an award winning stand up comic.

Venue: Walton Street Club, Walton Street, HULL, HU3 6JR / START TIME 7.30PM

£5 Waged/ £3 Un-Waged / Donation / or whatever you can manage even if that is nothing. Truth Juice Hull is NON-PROFIT making and the venue is FREE. Lack of money will never be an issue with attending the talks.

The charity cause for the evening will be Hull Help for Refugees
