as you surely have noticed the site was down for some days. actually it wasn't the site, it was the domain. 

the domain was up for renewal but instead of renewing it automatically (as every decent provider does) it was disabled.

took a few days to get it back up, and to avoid such crap happening again in the future the domain will be transferred to me (I am an official domain reseller), so the domain will be 100% under our control then, and even potential complaints (that might appear in the future, who knows) about the domain will land on my desk then….so no 3rd party provider can simply disable it again, for what reason ever.

during the domain transfer some instabilities in context with the DNS resolution will appear, and also maybe some downtime, but it will be just a short phase of max. 2 days until all is running stable again.
